Right, left or down the middle

I want to ask a question and I hope you will take time to give me a legitimate answer. If America is hated so badly by every other country as we have been constantly told by our wonderful press, why does everyone seem to want to come here to live? We constantly have a huge backlog of visa requests from all over the world. Not only are these legitimate visa requests overwhelming how about the illegal immigrants that pour over our border every day. We must be the only hated country in the world that everyone loves to live in.

Are you as tired as I am of the constant slandering of America. It’s okay NBC,CBS,and ABC, you won the election, now you can stop the rhetoric and start rebuilding the morale of this country that you have destroyed. Most Americans still love our country and really are disgusted with the constant ridicule.

Whether most of you know it or not, we are in the midst of a cultural war here in America. It’s for the very soul of our being. We have the Progressive movement including the ACLU, the far left liberals and the Hollywood connection versus the moderates of the middle right who make up the bulk of America. If you notice I didn’t include the Republican or Democratic parties in this as I feel that most Democrats and Republicans are hard working patriotic Americans whose values are much different then the Progressives. We seem to constantly get lost in issues like Abortion and the War and find little common ground to bring us together. This is a tactic used by the Progressives in the far left and the radicals of the far right to confuse the issue. Most of us are not radicals in either movement but we find ourselves hog tied by the rhetoric. The Progressives feel that anything is okay as far as abortion is concerned, including partial birth extraction. The more conservative moderates in either party feel this is tantamount to murder.

What has happened is that the Democratic party has been high jacked by the far left Progressives and most Democrats haven’t discovered their real motives yet. Now that the Progressive Democrats have fooled their fellow party members into giving them a lock on the congress, we will see the subtle changes taking place. Pelosi will start by blocking any attempt to bring moderate legislation to the floor of the house and Reid will stall and put aside the same in the Senate. Obama even if he wants to will find a road block on any effort to end the war with dignity, and we will see his stimulus turned into a huge windfall for those who don’t even pay taxes.

The big fear among most Americans is the 2nd Amendment or the right to bare arms. The Progressives have constantly battled for the banning of guns by everyday citizens. It is their belief that the Amendment only applies to law enforcement, state militias and the military. There was a movement at one time in California to house hunting rifles in a state warehouse and only issue them along with a bonafide hunting license, with the rifles to be returned within a certain period of time. Of course this never went very far as they found they would have had an outright revolution had they tried to take the weapons. I have found that most Americans just want to live their lives as they always have, work hard achieve what you can and raise a family. Somehow this interferes with the progressives idea of Utopia. They feel that everyone should share in this American dream whether they work for it or not. There is a big difference in the attitude towards Gays. Some feel that they should be afforded all the benefits of marriage and others feel that marriage is a bond between a man and a woman only. The world is not simple anymore, it is fraught with inconsistencies like these. We as a people are expected to work them out and live with the consequences.

Being raised in a home with a Father and Mother, each living in the roles consistent with the times, I have little knowledge of any other lifestyle nor do I wish to. I have no understanding of same sex relationships and feel they could be a threat to our society. Whether you believe in God or not isn’t the question, the question is that who ever designed the human body did so with reproduction in mind, and if they wanted us to couple in this way they would have given us different tools to work with.

The progressive, or far left liberal movement, has over the years redesigned our school curriculum to make everything equal. In many schools they have disallowed the Valedictorian program so lessor achievers will not feel bad. They have outlawed games we all played for years, like dodge ball, tag and other games that they feel will offend the weaker kids. They even have advocated sporting events without keeping score, so no one will leave upset. My God people, are you listening? We are raising a whole generation that will never know how to win at anything they do. They have relaxed the moral code enough that you can turn on the TV anytime of day, and experience foul language and explicit sex scenes. We have 12 year olds getting pregnant and to stop it they are giving the kids prophylactics.

Now I’m not advocating going back to the horse and buggy days but how about just a little commonsense. Kids should be able to be kids at least until they’re in their teens. I’ve seen Moms who think it’s cute to dress their eight year old girls like the teens they see on TV and then wonder why they have problems. Oh I’m sure we will get a lot of comments in this blog both pro and con, but I feel I have as much right as anyone to express my opinions and I am willing to live with the results. The majority of people in America are reserved, and will not take much of a stand either way, that’s how the progressives got in control. I feel it’s time to speak out and take a stand for what I believe in.
